Routine stop leads to crash into West Side home, arrests

SAPD: Two suspects tried to evade police after crash

A routine traffic stop ended with a car in a house and multiple arrests on the West Side. It happened in the 1400 block of Churing Drive just before 8 p.m. Monday.

A San Antonio police officer tried to pull the driver over for having expired tags. When the driver didn't pull over, witnesses said the driver hit two cars and took out a big tree before hitting the side of a house.

Inside the car were three men in their 20s. All were captured on scene. The driver hit the side of the house and half of it landed in the foyer of the home. 

Police said two people were inside and no one was injured. As for the people in the car, no one was injured.

The driver faces multiple charges, including hit-and-run, evading arrest on foot and in a vehicle. One passenger faces evading arrest charges on foot.

The third passenger will not likely face any charges since he surrendered to police right away, SAPD officials said.
