Firefighters responded to an apartment fire in the 1500 block of Jackson-Keller Road a little after 5 p.m. Tuesday.
There is no word on how many, if any, people were inside at the time of the fire.
Officials have declared it to be a two-alarm fire.
Dozens of fire crews responded and were able to put it out.
Fire Chief Charles Hood said four units were affected. It appears the fire started on the first floor and spread.
Hood said it was too early to determine any cause and arson investigators were on the way.
Four families were displaced, Hood said, but the complex does have a sister complex that could likely house the families who could not enter their apartments.
