FL Sen. Marco Rubio visits San Antonio

Touches on immigration, entrepreneurship in America, health care, and possible presidential run

Florida Sen. Marco Rubio visited San Antonio Tuesday for a speaking engagement.

Rubio addressed local business leaders in a conversation with the Texas Tribune's Evan Smith.

Rubio touched on immigration, entrepreneurship in America and health care.

But one question he couldn't avoid was whether he'll run for president in 2016.

"My criteria is that if I decide that how I want to serve this country next is from the highest office in the land, I'm going to be focused on that," said Rubio. "And I'm going to believe that I'm not just capable of the job, but I know exactly what I'm getting into. I will just say this, I believe the next president of the United States is going to have historic challenges and historic opportunities."

Rubio's name has been floated as the potential GOP nominee along with former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.
