Police: Four busted with pills, heroin

SAPD: Four suspects caught with drugs on Northwest Side

Four men were arrested early Monday after San Antonio police said they fled during an attempted traffic stop on the Northwest Side.

An SAPD patrol officer spotted a suspicious SUV near Loop 1604 and La Cantera Parkway around 1:30 a.m.

SAPD officials said the officer attempted to pull over the SUV, but the driver sped away.  

A patrolman spotted the SUV behind a Comfort Inn and the four men inside fled on foot.

The department's Eagle helicopter responded to the assist in the search of the four men and they were all taken into custody within a quarter mile of the motel.

San Antonio police said they would be charged with evading arrest and possession of heroin, pills and prescription drugs.

As of noon on Monday, their names had not been released.
