Man killed in crash with cement truck

Truck driver not injured, not cited for accident

A man is dead after he crashed into a cement truck in southwest Bexar County.

It happened just before 6 p.m. Wednesday in the 12600 block of Culebra Road near Stillwater Parkway.

That section of Culebra was closed to traffic for more than two hours as deputies investigated the crash.

Sheriff's deputies said the victim was pulling out of the Stillwater Ranch Subdivision in a gray car trying to head east on Culebra when a cement truck headed west sideswiped his car.

"The 25-year-old driver of the car was killed in this accident. The driver of the cement truck was a man in his 50s. He was uninjured in the accident," said Rosanne Hughes, spokeswoman for the Bexar County Sheriff's Office.

No other vehicles were involved and investigators say the victim had no passengers in his vehicle.

The speed limit on that section of Culebra is 55 mph. Investigators say the driver of the cement truck was not speeding and he was not cited for this accident.
