A 65-year-old man is dead after he was hit by a vehicle while crossing a very busy intersection on the city's West Side.
A 65-year-old man is dead after he was hit by a vehicle while crossing a very busy intersection on the city's West Side.

A man died after he was struck by a car Tuesday night while crossing a busy intersection on the West Side, San Antonio police said.

The victim was identified by the Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office as 65-year-old Noe Rosas.

The accident happened just before 9 p.m. along Highway 151 and Loop 1604 South.

Investigators said the victim was alone and died on impact. They interviewed witnesses who saw the accident to learn more about what occurred. 

Police did not believe the driver was at fault and said no alcohol was involved.

The southbound access road of Loop 1604 and eastbound lanes of Highway 151 were closed while officials investigated the accident.
