A train hit a sport utility vehicle that moments earlier was involved in a crash with another SUV Monday on the city's West Side.
Police said the two SUVS collided in the 200 block of Frio City Road at 8 a.m., when a Honda CRV careened into some railroad tracks.
The occupants of the CRV were able to get out of the vehicle before the train crashed into it.
Six people, including three children, were injured in the vehicle crash. Their injuries were not believed to be serious, police said.
