SAPD: Girl suffered leg injury, driver not charged
A 5-year-old girl was hospitalized after she was struck by a car outside a South Side apartment complex late Monday night.
San Antonio police said the accident occurred just before 10 p.m. in the 3100 block of Roosevelt Avenue.
Police said the girl -- identified Tuesday afternoon as Hope Luna -- ran out of an apartment and into the street when she was hit.
Luna suffered an injury to her leg and was transported to University Hospital for treatment.
Police said the driver stopped and was not expected to face any charges.
