San Antonio police have released the report into the accidental shooting of 6-year-old Jennilynn Montana.
The report reveals that Jennilynn's mother told police that she was aware the gun was in the home and that a friend asked her to hold it for them earlier in the day.
Jennilynn and her 8-year-old sister were apparently playing with the gun when it went off.
Jennilynn would later die at the hospital.
Police investigators have not said if charges will be filed in the case.
