On Friday the Bexar County Sheriff's Office released the identity of man whose body was found burning in the bed of a pickup earlier this month.
On May 3, sheriff's deputies responded to a call for a vehicle on fire on Highway 281 South just north of the Atascosa County Line.
When they arrived, fire crews were putting out the fire and discovered a man's body in the bed of the truck.
The body has been identified as 42-year-old Benjamin Leon Ross.
Investigators have not released the cause of death, but said they are treating it as a homicide.
