Pair of theft suspects behind bars
Suscpects believed to be romantically involved
Police said a pair of thieves are behind bars after a string of robberies on the southeast side.
Their names have not been released but police said the two were romantically involved.
The San Antonio Police Department robbery task force gathered information on the couple and their vehicle and caught them in the act.
"They followed those suspects for some time in unmarked vehicles. They followed them to a business on the 1000 block of South East Military, where in full view of the detectives, theses suspects in broad daylight committed a burglary of a vehicle," said SAPD Sgt. Javier Salazar.
Detectives arrested the pair.
The 51-year-old man was booked with aggravated robbery at a Shell gas station on May 28.
The female, 25, was charged with the aggravated robbery of a Valero on May 22.
Both were also charged with burglary of a vehicle.
Police are working to see if the two can be connected to any other crimes in the area.
