Balcones Heights PD chief investigation finished

Council calls special session for briefing

An investigation has been completed of an administrative complaint filed against Balcones Heights police Chief Henry Dominguez, prompting the City Council to call for a special session on June 9 to go over details of the investigation.

City spokesperson Lorenzo Nastasi said details of the complaint are still confidential because it is a personnel issue.

"It becomes problematic to release bits and pieces while something's being investigated," he said.

The city will not take action during the meeting, which may be attended by Amy Buckert, the city administrator, as well.

The chief reports to the administrator, who can make a decision regarding his future with the city.

If he is terminated, Dominguez could appeal to the City Council.
