Lydia Mendoza struck, killed by car; driver sought

San Antonio police are asking for the public's help in tracking down the driver who struck and killed a woman then fled the scene.

Police investigators said Lydia Mendoza, 48, was struck by the driver of a small dark sedan around 9:15 p.m. on May 31 as she was walking across the 6100 block of FM 78.

Mendoza was pronounced dead at the scene and investigators said the driver of the sedan never stopped to help or call police.
