Boy critically injured in family disturbance at Castleridge Apartments

SAPD: Boy was choking, parents in police custody

SAN ANTONIO – A 6-year-old boy was critically injured and his parents were in police custody following a domestic disturbance Saturday night at an apartment complex on the city's West Side.

Police responded to the Castleridge Apartments in the 8000 block of West Military Drive to investigate a complaint about a woman beating her children. When officers arrived, they found the boy choking on something. The boy was transported to University Hospital in critical condition.

Neighbors told KSAT 12 News the boys parents were running around the apartment complex Friday telling residents they were trying to kill their three children because they were possessed.

The parents were taken into police custody and could face charges of child endangerment, police said.

Two other children, a 3-year-old and a 7-year-old, were in custody of Child Protective Services.
