Burglar who stole cigarettes from 2 Dollar Generals sought

San Antonio police believe same man is responsible in both burglaries

SAN ANTONIO – Authorities are searching for a man who police believe is responsible for stealing cigarettes from two Dollar Generals in San Antonio.

The Dollar General at 1007 Poteet-Jourdanton Freeway was burglarized at 12:30 a.m. May 26.

Police said the burglar shattered the glass entry door and gathered a large amount of cigarettes once inside.

The next day at 4 a.m. the Dollar General at 3350 S.W. Military Drive was also burglarized, according to police.

The burglar used a brick to shatter the glass entry door and a glass cabinet that contained cigarettes. Police said the man collected the cigarettes and left the store on foot.

Surveillance footage at both stores recorded who police believe is the same man committing the burglaries. Authorities believe he may also be responsible for more burglaries.
