5 hurt in chain-reaction crash near downtown San Antonio
First driver stopped because of debris on road
SAN ANTONIO – A chain-reaction collision on Interstate 35 sent multiple people to the hospital early Sunday morning.
San Antonio police said the accident happened around 2:30 a.m. on I-35 north near the San Marcos exit.
Police say a driver stopped on the highway to avoid hitting debris when their vehicle was rear-ended.
Moments later, a third driver collided with the two cars. Police said a total of five people were hospitalized with minor injuries. Police have not said if any charges would be filed.
