SAN ANTONIO – A 41-year-old man is facing charges in a robbery and San Antonio police said it's due in part to his voice.

A witness told police she immediately recognized Raymundo Martinez, Jr., voice when she walked into the Times Mart in the 1900 block of Hackberry Street during the middle of a robbery on June 28, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

Police said the robber used a knife to threaten the clerk, then took money from the business, the affidavit stated.

The witness told police she not only recognized the man's voice when he made the demands, but also made eye contact with him, the affidavit stated.

She told police she then ran to her place of employment and locked herself inside, but Martinez followed her, trying to convince her to come outside, the affidavit stated.

Police said he eventually left, taking money from the store with him, the affidavit stated. Martinez was arrested Tuesday on a charge of aggravated robbery.
