2 injured, 1 killed in Bulverde shooting

3 San Antonio teens shot in Comal County

COMAL COUNTY, Texas – One person is dead and two others are in the hospital after being shot Saturday in Bulverde, according to a press release from the Comal County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities said they received a 911 call around 5:44 p.m. from a resident saying there were unknown people on his property. That call was disconnected.

A second 911 call came in around 5:58 p.m. This time the man said he had shot one of the people on his property.

Deputies then responded to the home in the 2100 block of Ridge Creek Lane where they found that three people had been shot.

According to the CCSO, 19-year-old Drake Joseph Lund of San Antonio was dead when deputies arrived.

Sawyer Hiram Darwin, 19, and Robert Michael Bree, 17, both of San Antonio, were also shot.

Darwin was taken by helicopter to San Antonio Military Medical Center in critical condition, while Bree was taken by ambulance to University Hospital in stable condition.

Rylee Carl Eklund, 19, of Bulverde was arrested at the scene for possession of marijuana of less than two ounces.

He was later released on a $2,000 bond.

Detectives are investigating the shooting.
