3 hospitalized after car wreck

Driver ejected, facing possible intoxication assault charges


SAN ANTONIO – Three people were taken to the hospital after a rollover accident on the city's West Side.

It happened around 2:30 a.m. Sunday near Westover Hills Boulevard and Hunt Lane.

According to police, the car was traveling southbound on Hunt Lane when the driver lost control of the vehicle, rolling it several times.

The female driver was ejected from the vehicle and suffered two broken legs and other major injuries.

A male riding in the back seat and a woman in the front seat were also injured in the crash.

All three were taken to University Hospital in critical condition.

Authorities believe speed and alcohol played a role in the accident.

The driver may face charges including intoxication assault.
