SAN ANTONIO – Support and appetites are growing for the 100 Club of San Antonio's biggest fund raiser.

The club held their 17th Annual Spaghetti Dinner Saturday and Sunday at Christopher Columbus Italian Society.

More than 15,000 meatballs were rolled and served during the two-day event.

The event has been extended to a full weekend to meet the demand over the last two years.

The 100 Club serves the children of fallen law enforcement personnel and firefighters at the local, state and federal level in the Bexar County area.

"We expect to sell over 4,500 plates of spaghetti plus dessert. It's a wonderful time," said Richard Miller, 100 Club Of San Antonio. "We do it the second Sunday of July every single year. It's a major fund raiser for us."

The group hopes to raise about $50,000.
