SAN ANTONIO – The medical examiner has identified the San Antonio park officer killed in a bicycle accident as Douglas Rivers, 63.
Police say a jogger found Rivers' body around 2 p.m. Saturday in the 3800 block of Seguin Road along the Salado Greenbelt trail.

Officials believe Rivers lost control on a sloped curve and crashed into a tree.
Investigators are trying to determine if he was wearing a helmet at the time.
Rivers was off-duty at the time of the accident.
Rivers was a park police for five years. Prior to that, he spent more than 30 years doing police work on the city's north side.
