NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – A pedestrian who was struck and killed by a pickup truck late Tuesday night in New Braunfels has been identified.
Police responded to the crash at 10:18 p.m. in the 400 block of North Business 35.
A 2003 Ford F-150 driven by a 38-year-old man struck 45-year-old Christopher Thomas Smith, who police said was in the roadway.
Smith was transported to Christus New Braunfels Hospital, where he later died.
The driver of the F-150 was not injured.
The incident remained under investigation by New Braunfels police but no charges were expected to be filed at this time.
