Reynaldo Gaona, 37, charged with possession of a controlled substance

SAN ANTONIO – A 37-year-old man is facing charges related to drug dealing after San Antonio police allegedly seized more than 200 grams of methamphetamines from his car and home.

An arrest warrant affidavit stated that detectives had received information from a confidential informant that Reynaldo Gaona was selling large amounts of drugs.

They said they set up surveillance around his home, and on one day, initiated a traffic stop on him.

The affidavit states that officers found 93 grams of meth inside Gaona's car at the time of the traffic stop.

They said they asked if he had anymore drugs at home and Gaona admitted that he did, the affidavit stated.

Detectives later searched his home and said they found another 108 grams of meth hidden inside a cereal box, the affidavit stated.

Gaona was arrested Tuesday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute. Bond for him was set at $50,000.
