SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio man was arrested after sheriff's investigators said he attempted to sell military-grade body armor through social media.
Investigators with the Bexar County Sheriff's Habitual Offender Team arrested 37-year-old Mark Baylor, a convicted felon, Thursday in a sting operation.
It is illegal for a convicted felon to possess body armor in Texas.
Undercover detectives said they met with Baylor at a McDonald's on the city's South Side and negotiated the sale of the bulletproof vest, then arrested him.
He has been charged with possession of metal/body armor by felon.
Sheriff's investigators are working to determine if the bulletproof vest is stolen.
