Pesina was fatally shot while off-duty on the night of May 4 outside a tattoo parlor he co-owned on the Northwest Side.

Pesina was leaving the Notorious Ink Tattoo and Piercing Shop on Hillcrest Drive when he was ambushed by two masked gunmen.
