Driver crashes truck into near NE Side bar

Police: Man hit gas instead of brake before crashing into bar

SAN ANTONIO – A driver crashed his truck into a bar late Wednesday night on the near Northeast Side.  

San Antonio police said the crash happened just after 11 p.m. in the 2000 block of Austin Highway.  

Police tell us the 63-year old driver has special pedals to accommodate his prosthetic leg, and hit the gas instead of the brake.

He crashed into the front of the building, but police said no injuries were reported. Damage estimates were unknown.
