SAPD: Man robs adult store to 'feed kids'

Clerk refuses to give man money, suspect flees with merchandise

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man wanted on an aggravated robbery charge.

Police investigators said the man robbed the Lovers Adult Accessories in the 4800 block of Northwest Loop 410 on Sept. 1.

The suspect is described as being a white male about 25 years old and about 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing about 130 pounds.

Investigators said the man took some merchandise to the counter, then pulled out a black and chrome handgun and demanded money.

The clerk told the man he couldn't give him any money and police said that's when the man said, "Just give me $50, I need to feed my kids."

The clerk again refused to give the man any money, so police said he ran out with the merchandise sped off in a white SUV.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect's identity or his whereabouts are urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 224-STOP.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the person responsible for this crime.
