DILLEY, Texas – A new residential center for adults and children in the United States illegally may be built not far from San Antonio.
According to a spokeswoman for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the agency is looking to build the facility in Dilley, southwest of San Antonio.
Corrections Corporation of America is reportedly being eyed to build the center.
Like other facilities the federal government has opened, the one in Dilley is in response to the recent influx of immigrants.
The center would not only provide shelter, but would include play rooms, classrooms and certified teachers and social workers.
