SA businesswoman pleads guilty in million dollar scheme

Accused of orchestrating fraud over two year period

SAN ANTONIO – Lea Ann Blystone, 47, pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud in a federal court Tuesday afternoon.

Blystone acted as marketing director for a land development company, Rinco of Texas, and Rockin' J Ranch. By pleading guilty, according to federal investigators, she admitted to using Rinco and Rockin' J in order to get money and property through fraud.

Fraud that investigators said involved charging services when no promotion had been done and resulted in paying her x-husband and Rockin' J contractor, Michael J. Web, 49,  Rockin' J contractor Karen Lindsay, 48, and Rockin' J contractor Cheryl E, 56.

Webb, Lindsay and Hartsfield have each pleaded guilty to wire fraud and are currently awaiting sentencing.

Blystone faces up to 20 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to orchestrating the nearly $1.6 million fraud scheme according to the Special Agent working the case.
