2 motorcyclists injured in separate wrecks

Both motorcyclists transported to SAMMC with serious injuries

SAN ANTONIO – A pair of motorcyclists were critically injured following separate wrecks early Friday morning.

The first crash occurred just after 2 a.m. at Highway 281 and Evans Road.

Police said the motorcyclist lost control of the bike and skid about 60 feet before he slammed into the curb.

He was transported to San Antonio Military Medical Center with serious injuries. Police said he was not wearing a helmet.

About ten minutes later, SAPD officers responded to another motorcycle crash on the Northeast Side.

Police said the motorcyclist was attempting to exit Loop 410 at WW White Road when he lost control. His bike skidded several feet before he finally came to a stop.

A passerby spotted the man in the middle of the street and called paramedics.

He was also transported to San Antonio Military Medical Center with head injuries.
