AACOG narrows candidate list for new executive director

Five candidates make final list for AACOG executive director position

SAN ANTONIO – The Alamo Area Council of Governments is closer to getting a new leader.

AACOG board members have narrowed their search for a new executive director to five candidates after meetings over several months.

Those five will undergo background checks and face to face interviews.

AACOG hopes to make a final selection next month. The AACOG has been searching for an executive director since the departure of Dean Danos and Michael Quinn.

Danos and Quinn left AACOG after failed dealings with a foundation that promised to bring in millions of dollars in grants and lease space in the AACOG building.
