SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department launched a new campaign Monday aimed at helping the homeless and needy people of the city.
The "Change That Makes a Difference" campaign is designed to get those in need the help they require, instead of feeding drug and alcohol habits.
A video posted to YouTube by the Police Department shows portions of two interviews with panhandlers, who discuss how they use the donations they receive to feed harmful habits.
People who want to help those in need are encouraged to donate to Haven for Hope instead of offering street corner donations.
