1 person killed in Southwest Side rollover

SAN ANTONIO – One person is dead after a rollover accident on the city's Southwest Side.

First responders were called to the scene of the accident at eastbound Southwest Loop 410 and Somerset Road around 7:30 p.m. Friday.

The cause of the accident has not yet been released, but the car ended up on its side in the grass between the main lanes and the access road. 

The vehicle carrying two people then caught fire.

Paramedics administered CPR to one person, but were unable to save that patient who died at the scene.

The second person was transported to a local hospital.
