SAN ANTONIO – Drivers traveling near the San Antonio International Airport this week may need to allow extra time to reach their destination.
Starting Tuesday at 6 p.m. road construction will begin on Airport Boulevard. Drivers using Loop 410 to get to the airport might see some delays.
Phased closures and rerouting can be expected from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. through Friday.
Northbound access to the airport from 410 will be open but greatly limited during construction times. Southbound Airport Boulevard from the airport to 410 will be closed during most of construction.
Officials with the airport advise travelers to allow for more time to get to and from the airport.
Traffic officers will be on hand to direct traffic as needed.
