SAN ANTONIO – A 36-year-old woman identified as Suzana Reyna is facing an arson charge after confessing to setting fire to her estranged husband's car at a Southside High School football game, according to an arrest affidavit.
Bexar County arson investigators said they found out about the fire on Saturday morning, then later spoke with Reyna by phone after she called to confess.
Detectives said she admitted to pouring gasoline into the car and using a cigarette lighter to start the fire, the affidavit stated. She also slashed the tires, the affidavit stated.
Reyna told investigators that she wanted him to feel the pain she's going through, the affidavit stated.
The couple is separated and Reyna's husband showed up at his stepson's game with his new girlfriend.
During her phone conversation with investigators, Reyna also reportedly told them she planned to turn herself in at the magistrate's office.
