Moving man charged with stealing customer's computers

SAPD: Colin Woode, 32, pawned stolen laptop

SAN ANTONIO – A hired moving man is accused of stealing from a customer, taking two laptops during a move and selling at least one of them.

An arrest warrant affidavit stated that a man told San Antonio police he hired Colin Woode, 32, and another man in June to move his possessions from one home to another.

He told police that a few days after the June 30 move, he realized that two laptop computers were missing.

The affidavit stated that detectives searched an online database for pawnshops and located one of the laptops by its serial number.

They said they found records showing that Woode pawned the laptop and that a clerk at the business identified him as the person who sold it, the affidavit stated. Woode was arrested on a charge of theft.
