1 man injured in New Braunfels stabbing

Victim flown to San Antonio for treatment

SAN ANTONIO – A 22-year-old man was taken by AirLife to University Hospital after being stabbed Friday night in New Braunfels.

New Braunfels police and fire firefighters were called to the scene in the 1000 block of Linde Avenue around 9 p.m.

Officers discovered the man with stab wounds to his chest and back. 

Police say that the man got into an argument that turned physical with a 25-year-old Hispanic man, who stabbed the victim. 

The suspect then fled on foot before being arrested at a nearby apartment complex. He was taken to Christus Santa Rosa hospital in New Braunfels with minor injuries sustained during the assault. The suspect was then transported to the Comal County Jail and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The victim was flown to San Antonio for treatment and is currently in stable condition.
