Dragged dogs available for fostering

SAN ANTONIO – Two dogs who Animal Care Services officials said were dragged and injured in separate run-ins with cars are available for adoption.

Both dogs are young adult females: "Pumpkin" is a white and brindle American Staffordshire mix; "Spice" is a scruffy coated black and brown Terrier blend.

ACS officials said Pumpkin was reportedly dragged behind a truck after falling out of a cargo bed over the weekend. The pads on all four of Spice's paws were scrapped completely raw from an apparently similar encounter.

Both dogs are recovering from their injuries at Animal Care Services shelters and are available for fostering.
