Local leaders to meet with Oakland Raiders officials
Former Mayor Henry Cisneros leading local group
SAN ANTONIO – A group of local officials is in Oakland on Friday to meet with Raiders officials about the possibility of relocating the NFL team to San Antonio.
A city spokeswoman told KSAT 12 News that former Mayor Henry Cisneros, San Antonio Greater Chamber of Commerce President Richard Perez and Convention Sports and Entertainment Facilities Director Michael Sawaya made the trip.
The group is expected to review with Raiders officials' findings of 50,000 surveys that were sent out to potential season ticket buyers last month.
Numerous reports indicate that Raiders have also expressed an interest in moving back to Los Angeles.
