SAN ANTONIO – Three women were hospitalized after the car they were in was struck nearly head-on by another vehicle on the North Side late Thursday night.
According to an SAPD preliminary report, a Chevy Malibu was headed northbound on Blanco near San Angelo Road when her vehicle was struck by a southbound Mercedes at around 9:30 p.m.
The Chevy Malibu driver had to be cut out of the car and suffered serious bodily injury. Officers at the scene said she was trapped for about 20 minutes.
She and her two passengers were transported to University Hospital by paramedics.
According to th report, officers determined the driver of the Mercedes was intoxicated. The driver was booked for intoxication assault.
