Family of hit-and-run victim seeks closure

Pamela Bailey struck, killed in Comal County

SAN ANTONIO – Texas Department of Public Safety investigators are searching for leads in the death of Pamela Bailey, 32, who was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver as she walked along the 30900 block of Blanco Road in Comal County Tuesday night.

For Bailey's family, it is a painful wait for answers.

"Finding out what happened and the person responsible coming forward would help greatly to bring closure for everybody," said Christi Fullenwider, Bailey's aunt.

The last time her family heard from Bailey was in a Facebook message. She posted that she was going out to what she called the local watering hole, the Rusty Spur, which is a bar about a half mile away from where she was killed.

"We believe it was an accident since there are deer out there on that road and maybe they thought that they hit a deer," Fullenwider said. "We would just like the person to come forward. It's the right thing to do."

Comal County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of the driver.

Bailey was the mother of a 6-year-old son and a 3-year-old daughter.

"I know she had two children," Fullenwider said. "I don't know if the little one will even remember her."
