SAN ANTONIO – A Dollar General store on the East Side was the target of a smash-and-grab robber not once, but twice early Friday morning.
San Antonio police responded to the first smash-and-grab around midnight at the Dollar General near N. New Braunfels Avenue and Houston Street.
An officer said someone in a tan car with a sunroof drove through the doors, grabbed beer and left.
A maintenance worker arrived to make some repairs and moment he left, the suspect backed into the store again, police said. Officers said he stole several DVDs during the second smash-and-grab.
Police said officers had been patrolling the area all night when they noticed the damage again. No arrests have been made, police said.
