SAN ANTONIO – The Texas Department of Transportation has given the all-clear on a road closure in the medical center.
TxDOT announced in a tweet that Fredericksburg Road at Medical Drive will reopen Friday night.
The portion of road will be ready for traffic again by Saturday morning.
TxDOT said the project is the fasted bridge placement in Texas history.
Crews used a technique that included teflon-lined plates and dish soap to install the bridge.
