Student struck by car expected to be OK

NEISD: Student was riding bike on Roosevelt High School campus

SAN ANTONIO – A ninth-grader who was hit by a car Monday morning while riding his bike at Roosevelt High School is expected to be OK.

Northeast Independent School District spokeswoman Aubrey Chancellor said it appears a parent was driving the car that hit him.

The student was hit just before 8 a.m.

An ambulance was sent to the scene just as a precaution, Chancellor said, but the student's parents ended up taking him to a hospital to be checked out.
