1 Border Patrol agent killed, 1 injured in crash

Agents were stationed in Cotulla

A wrong-way crash claimed the life of an off-duty U.S. Border Patrol agent and left another agent injured.

A Border Patrol news release said the fatality happened at 1:40 a.m. Tuesday on Interstate 35 South at Mile Marker 17. 

The agent killed was a six-year veteran of the agency.

The other agent was airlifted to an undisclosed hospital for treatment. His condition wasn't immediately know.

Information on the wrong-way driver was not known.
