New Braunfels man arrested on child indecency charges

NBPD: Jody Ray Herry, 48, touched child inappropriately over 2-year period

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – A New Braunfels man has been arrested on indecency with a child charges after investigators said he touched a juvenile girl inappropriately over a two-year period.

Jody Ray Herry, 48, may have also abused several other children as well, New Braunfels police Lt. John L. Wells said.

The New Braunfels Police Department was first notified of the abuse on Dec. 5, 2012. An investigation has been ongoing ever since.

Herry was arrested on Nov. 21 in Belton, Texas, where he currently lives. He was booked into the Bell County Jail, charged with indecency with a child, a second-degree felony. He's being held on a $100,000 bond.

Herry is currently awaiting extradition back to Comal County.

New Braunfels police ask anyone with information related to the investigation into Herry to contact them at 830-221-4167, as Wells said investigators believe there may be more victims.
