Boyfriend stabbed when man intervenes in couple's argument

SAPD: Man stabbed on Dullnig Court, tried to get on VIA bus

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are on the lookout for a man who they say stabbed another man who was arguing with his girlfriend late Monday night.

The couple was arguing outside a Southwest Side apartment in the 200 block of Dullnig Court around 10 p.m. when the suspect intervened.

Police said the man stabbed the boyfriend in the neck and the arm and fled the scene.

The boyfriend also left the scene and attempted to get onto a bus at Hot Wells and S. New Braunfels, police said.

The VIA bus driver would not allow the injured boyfriend to get on board and called police and paramedics.

"That's a little bit crazy. How would nobody notice that when somebody's bleeding? There's usually a lot of people outside at that time anyways, so somebody should have seen him," said Cristina Moreno, who lives across the street from the apartments where the stabbing happened.

Paramedics transported the boyfriend to University Hospital for treatment.

Police said it was unclear why the victim and his girlfriend were arguing and why the other man stepped in. The girlfriend said she had not seen her boyfriend all day. Police are investigating the case.
