CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Masked man robs Burger King

SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying a masked man and his partner who they said broke into a Burger King and made off with a safe.

Sheriff's investigators said the robbery happened early Sunday morning at the Burger King on Interstate 37 and Loop 1604, on San Antonio's South Side.

The two suspects, who were wearing masks to cover their faces, could be seen entering the restaurant through a hatch in the roof, and dragging a safe out of the restaurant.

"We're very fortunate that we did have some surveillance footage," Keith said. "We had five different cameras inside that restaurant that captured everything. But the problem we have, is these guys were wearing masks, so we're going to have to rely on the public to let us know."

Keith said it is likely the crooks were familiar with the layout of the restaurant, because they knew exactly where to go, and how to access the safe.

Surveillance video shows them dragging out a safe containing thousands of dollars.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. The number to call is 210-224-STOP.
