SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police came across an East Side chop shop Wednesday Afternoon.

Police said they collected nearly $500,000 worth of stolen vehicles and property at a location on Rigsby Avenue.

Among the items stolen was a trailer that went missing from the convention center earlier this month.

"They had a lot of property in terms of a trailer and equipment used to set up conventions," said Officer Douglas Greene from the San Antonio Police Department. "Thankfully, we were able to recover that property here."

Greene said the trailer alone is worth about $250,000.

Police said the property owner is not considered a suspect and is being helpful with their investigation.

SAPD has a number of suspects in mind but as of Wednesday, no arrests have been made.
