San Antonio police seek witnesses of shooting death
Police found Anthony Valdez shot in torso Nov. 21
SAN ANTONIO – Witnesses who may have information about the recent shooting death of a 36-year-old man are being sought by the San Antonio Police Department.
Officers arrived at 6:40 a.m. Nov. 21 to 638 Baetz St. in response to a shooting.
When officers arrived they found Anthony Valdez shot in the torso and was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center, where he died from his wounds, according to SAPD.
Police said Valdez had been out with friends on the south side and had been home a short while prior to the shooting.
The suspects drove to Valdez's home and opened fire on the house, striking him, SAPD said.
No one else in the home was hurt as a result of the shooting, authorities said.
Anyone with information about this shooting is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 224-STOP (7867). SAPD said Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest of those responsible for the shooting.
